Accessibility Statement
What we have built into this website, what we know is imperfect, and how to tell us if something gets in your way.
What We Are Committing To
Sable Outdoor Living wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people using a keyboard rather than a mouse, people using a screen reader or other assistive technology, people who need larger text or higher contrast, and people who prefer reduced motion.
We have designed and built the site with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines in mind. We are not claiming full conformance to any particular level, and we are not claiming compliance with any accessibility law. Those are claims that require formal audit and ongoing verification, and stating them without that work would be dishonest.
What we can tell you is what has actually been done, and what to do if you hit a barrier.
What Has Been Built In
Keyboard navigation
Interactive controls on this site — navigation menus, the mobile menu, expandable questions and all form fields — are built to be reached and operated with a keyboard. Nothing depends on hovering a mouse pointer.
Visible focus
Keyboard focus is shown with a visible outline throughout, so you can see where you are on the page.
Native controls and semantics
Menus use standard disclosure patterns with the appropriate ARIA states, the mobile menu traps focus while open and returns it when closed, questions use native expandable elements, and pages use one main heading with a logical structure beneath it.
Labeled forms
Every field on the consultation request form has a visible, programmatically associated label. Required fields are marked, and success and error messages are announced to assistive technology.
Touch targets
Navigation links, buttons and form controls are sized for touch, with a minimum target height of 44 pixels. Links inside sentences are an exception, as is conventional.
Contrast and text
Text and interface colors were selected with the WCAG AA contrast ratios as the target, and text scales with the browser and device text size rather than being fixed.
Alternative text
Photographs carry alt text describing what is actually visible. Decorative images carry empty alt text so screen readers skip them rather than announcing noise.
Reduced motion
If your device is set to reduce motion, the site's transitions and reveal animations are disabled.
Responsive layout
Pages are tested from 320 pixels wide upward and reflow without horizontal scrolling, including the comparison tables, which restack as labeled cards on small screens.
Where We Know There Are Gaps
This site has been built and tested carefully, but it has not been through an independent accessibility audit, and it has not been tested with every combination of screen reader and browser in use.
Parts of the site are provided by our ecommerce platform rather than built by us — the privacy policy page and certain platform-generated pages among them — and we have less control over those.
If you find something that does not work for you, that is useful information and we would rather hear it than not.
Tell Us About a Barrier
If any part of this website prevents you from finding what you need, or if you would prefer to receive information about our services in another format, please tell us. Use the consultation request form and say in the message that you are contacting us about accessibility — those go to the same place and we will reply.
Please include the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what assistive technology or browser you were using if you know it. That is often enough for us to reproduce the problem and fix it.
Accessibility is not something a website is finished with. As we add pages we will keep applying the same standards, and this statement will be updated when the site changes materially.
